Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Rae Khalil has signed to Def Jam Recordings via Anderson .Paak’s Apeshit label. She has also shared her debut single and music video with the label, “Is It Worth It.” According to Paak, “Rae is not only one of my favorite artist/collaborators but one of my favorite human beings.” Rae was a contestant on Netflix’s first original music competition program, “Rhythm + Flow,” which gained her popularity and co-signs from Queen Latifah, Chance The Rapper, Common, and Free Nationals. She contributed her songwriting and background vocals to Paak’s “Lockdown,” which won for best melodic rap performance at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
