It’s Vitamin D Season!

 

Where did our summer go this year? In some places, like Michigan, it feels like we can literally experience a significant drop in temperature, sometimes as early as September. I am going to miss the sun and the long days, which will now be replaced by crispy leaves and, dun dun dun… SNOW! Some of us can also anticipate the winter blues’ unpleasant experience, also known as a seasonal affective disorder. Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD is a mood disorder that tends to re-emerge during fall/winter when sun exposure is lacking while going into remission during the spring/summer. You see, the lack of sun can cause a vitamin D deficiency, which has been directly linked to depressed mood and other health complications. So start supplementing today!
